Increasing company efficiency through implementation of an innovative B2B system

PUMAR is a manufacturer of joinery – a construction industry, specialised, production based on detailed calculations, exposed to a large number of changes both from the supplier of solutions and technology and at various stages of execution and delivery.

The applicant cooperates with large manufacturers of profiles for joinery (suppliers), who currently have advanced IT systems containing catalogues with construction elements and descriptions, ready libraries, order and settlement systems, technological standards to be implemented in the production process, which are very important for building the offer. This is a very sensitive industry in terms of quality, requiring the Applicant to verify the quality of products at each production stage and to attest the manufactured products.

The B2B system ensures the automation of these processes, monitoring, verification and response from the moment the information appears in the system, i.e. already at the level of starting the implementation with a partner (first quote) up to the implementation and delivery.

As part of the project, a common B2B system was merged into one:

ERP system software for process management
specialised production software containing a number of elements optimising the production process in the context of exchange of information with suppliers of aluminium profiles and glazing technology, software for building offers and designs of aluminium joinery, efficiency of construction solutions taking into account the standards of suppliers of aluminium profiles, production technology, parameterisation, calibration of solutions, optimisation of solutions in the context of production processes.

software for communication with customers, who often have additional requirements related to the delivery of solutions adapted to the climate, geographical location, tastes, style, fashion in a given region or conditions, e.g. historical circumstances.

The result of the development was one of the most modern B2B systems in the joinery industry, providing a model system for the exchange of information in the area of supplier and customer service, including production technology at each stage of the arrangements made.

An electronic system was created to coordinate B2B processes carried out for:

sourcing goods from manufacturers and main distributors;
obtaining information on services from service providers with a booking system;
the execution of activities related to the relevant offering;
the execution of activities related to the appropriate order-compliant production, picking of goods/services;
sale and delivery of goods/services according to the order to the distribution network
the handling of the process from quotation, order to sale using the B2B system by mobile salespeople in the internal structures and by collaborators.
